I was just thinking this weekend how we all transition through different stages and phases of our lives, and that it's amazing how many people weave their way in and out of our lives to make it all work. Before I get all lachrymose and melancholy about it, let me just highlight the weekend:

Football piggy banks we got at Peter Piper with our tickets!
Ry, Shauna, Val, and I at NYPD
West Fork Trail in Sedona, AZ

My brisket plate at Red Rock BBQ in Sedona. Highly recommended-- best brisket I've ever had!

Us being silly at the Diamondback's vs. Padres game
I'm coming to realize that 2009 is a year of change much more than I had ever imagined. So far, the changes are great, and I'm excited to see what adventures are just around the corner. All I can say is, in spite of whatever difficulties life throws at me, I am truly blessed to have amazing people touch my life each day.
Thanks, Ry, for a great weekend, and for being there through so many of my transitions. I'm glad I've been able to accompany you through so many of yours, too. I appreciate the insight you always offer. I think we've been each other's much needed voice of reason so many times. Here's to another year of new adventures for both of us. Cheers!

glad to see ya back in the bloggin' world! here are a fewmor reasons to be happy at your stage for ya, less laundry to fold/iron/put away, less toilet paper to buy, if you pass gas, you don't have to say excuse me, and to add to that one, you don't have to deal with/smell any one elses gas. ;)
