*ORMAI*

Today is my 3 year anniversary. On June 28th, 2006 I flew home from Italy. It's crazy how many things can happen in 3 years. I still own the green striped shirt in this picture, and the pink hat. Here's a recap of the last 3 years:
1. Came home, moved to Utah (Logan, I try not to say that word too much) to try out teaching and date someone.
2. Get teaching job in prison, love it, even though it's crazy, decide to become a teacher.
3. Break up with said boy.
4. Get mono.
5. Move to SLC to work for startup college planning company. Camp out in Cortney's basement for a month-- both of us hating our lives.
6. Move into apartment in Holladay with awesome roommate Jene'.
7. Recruit Elisee to come work at CFS and move from Vegas to SLC.
8. Quit CFS because they are a bunch of freaking slime balls.
9. Move back home to live w/mom and dad, get a job at UOP.
10. Take trip to the east coast, check 2 places off of life's to-do list.
11. Move into apartment in Tempe with roommate, Valerie.
12. Start Masters program that will not qualify me to be a teacher.
13. Go to Italy for Christmas. Awesome.
14. Get promoted to manager at work.
15. Start action research project (thesis)
16. Get an ulcer
17. Finish action research project (thesis)
18. Go to Indiana for Grandpa Smith's funeral
19. Move out of apartment with Val, into house with Janae.

And that pretty much takes us to today. I'm sure I've skipped some things, but as you can all see, it's pretty darn crazy how much has gone on in the last 3 years. I could have gone into more detail but really it was getting overwhelming! I have to say I'm really grateful that I live near family who have been so supportive in the past year and a half. And honestly, even if things didn't turn out the way I would have planned, I know there is a plan and someday I'll understand it all. I'm thankful for the blessings I have and for the opportunities I have been given. And after 3 years I still speak Italian well :)

Thanks, everyone, for making the last 3 years unbelievable. And that's really the best word to describe them!

I thought the whole point of you going back to school was to possibly teach??? I'm confused! And I love how when we refer to that month of sharing a room with Rascal (my dog) how we refer to it as hating our lives! It's a wonder we're still friends :)

You forgot the part about when you were in isolation due to your TB
