My friend, Dave, brought this to a potluck at work. Delicious! Great with chips or tortillas.
Green Chili Pork (or chicken)
Ingredients:
-6LB of Pork Loin (the better cuts of pork used the better). Or Chicken breast
-12oz chopped green Chilies cans or frozen
-1 Bottle of Herdez Green Salsa
-1 Bottle of La Victoria Green Taco Sauce
-2 Cans of Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup
-1 Tbs spoon of Cumin
-1 Tbs of Mexican Oregano (any oregano will do)
-2 large Onions
-3-6 cloves of Garlic
- Salt and Pepper to taste
-Optional Stewed tomatoes
Directions:
Chop onions and garlic and brown in skillet, then place into slow cooker
Cut Port or chicken into 1” cubes, coat in flower, brown in skillet and place into slow cooker.
Pour Green salsa, green taco sauce, canned green chili, Cumin, and oregano over other ingredients and stir.
Let cook overnight or for several hours. (In a crockpot works great)
After cooking use a spoon and break up the meat so it becomes stringy and is all broken apart.
About 30 min before serving stir in Cream of Mushroom soup and salt and pepper, also if you want the Tomatoes it is time to stir them in.
Serve with flower tortillas for green chili burritos or with corn chips.
